Professional registration preparation
Turn the work you do into the professional you become.
Bring your pathway, self-assessment, spoken experience, evidence, learning and mentor feedback into one preparation workspace. Speak in your own words, correct the text as it is captured, and build a record around your registration category.
Pr-ed is an independent preparation provider. The council registers you, not us.
What was your role and responsibility?
Spoken answer with editable text, 00:42. You confirm before it moves forward.
Voice first
You talk. We ask the right questions.
Writing an experience record from a blank box is where many people stall. Pr-ed asks one question at a time, records your answer and, where your browser supports it, writes your words on screen for you to correct.
- 01
What project or work activity are you describing, and when did it happen?
Name the project as you know it, plus roughly when. Month and year is enough.
- 02
What was YOUR role and responsibility on this?
Say what you personally were responsible for, not what the team did.
- 03
What problem or need did you encounter?
Describe the difficulty, request or gap in plain words.
- 04
What did YOU do? Include the methods you used and the options you considered.
Walk through the steps. Mention anything you calculated, measured, checked or compared.
- 05
What decision did you make, and why?
Say what you chose and the reason you chose it over the alternatives.
- 06
What constraints, safety, environmental or ethical issues applied?
Budget, time, law, site conditions, health and safety, confidentiality, anything that limited you.
- 07
What happened in the end, and what evidence supports that outcome?
Describe the result and name the documents, drawings, records or approvals that show it.
- 08
What did you learn, and what would you change?
One or two honest points is fine.
- 09
Who could verify your contribution, and what files support it?
A supervisor, client or colleague, and the files you could attach later.
What happens to your voice
- Your recording is made by your own browser when you press record, and in this review version it stays on your device.
- If you agree and your browser supports speech recognition, your words appear as you speak. You can correct the text before confirming it. If recognition fails, the audio is kept and clearly marked.
- Nothing reaches a mentor until you have listened back and confirmed it.
Honest about this review build
This is a review build. Mentor review, cohort figures and sample candidates are synthetic and clearly labelled. No transcription service, registration approval or mentor booking here is real.
Professions
Start from your profession, not from a form.
Every category keeps its own rules, evidence template and preparation themes. Nothing is merged.

8 registration categoriesFive steps
A preparation journey you can actually follow.
- 1
Choose your pathway and starting point
Choose your council, category and stage, then use the available self-assessment to find areas that need attention. Suggestions guide preparation; they never decide eligibility.
- 2
Tell your experience
Answer one spoken question at a time. Where your browser supports it and you consent, your words appear as editable text while the audio is kept alongside them.
- 3
Correct, connect and confirm
Listen back, correct the captured words, connect supporting evidence and confirm. Only candidate-confirmed material enters a preparation draft.
- 4
Get it reviewed
Use learning, council source documents and knowledge-transfer planning to close gaps, then request structured mentor feedback when your account is ready.
- 5
Build your preparation pack
Track evidence, learning, mentorship and CPD separately. Export confirmed accounts as a preparation draft for your own application process.
